What can I say but that was hard, this route “Chain Chomper” is one for the hurt box, I may have gone out a little to hard on lap one when I hit the first climb but it was all about testing who was on form for the night.

On the final lap we had a breakaway and one I was just not going to follow, ended up letting it go and maintain my gap to 3rd place, Securing a 2nd on the night. That should put me back in a shared first spot for series leader and yellow jersey.

Still a glitch with ZWIFT on on the Sprint Segment, so the race really wasn’t fair with some riders being nocked back after being flagged for over power. Results have been annulled due to Zwift Glitch (CHECK OUT RACE 7)

Weapon of choice:

  • Zwift Concept (TRON) Bike
  • WildDogs MTB Sock Upgrade (for some extra watts)

This route breaks up nicely into 5 sections of roughly equal length: the flat start, the Castle KOM, the Temple KOM, the Temple KOM descent, and the paved descent.
We begin with a short, flat warmup from the Country Sprint arch. Enjoy it while you’ve got it, because the climbing begins 2km in!
Our first climb is the Castle KOM, which ends in the Castle area. Then you leave the Castle and hit the dirt singletrack to take on the Temple KOM.
Once you ride through the three, you’ll descend the backside of the KOM, which spits you out onto a paved road near the fishing village. This paved road continues to descent essentially all the way back to the Country Sprint arch.
Are you ready to do it again?
